THE PSYCHIC BARRIER BETWEEN YOUR CONSCIOUS AND SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

There is a barrier between your conscious and the subconscious mind and it is your Lymphatic system. It is twice the size of the cerebrovascular system (CVS) But the circulatory system which is small has its pump in the form of the Heart which circulates the blood. The Lymphatic system despite being larger than the circulatory system does not have a pump-like Heart moving fluid, WHY? Because the Almighty is smart and it has made the lymphatic system dependent on you, yes it's true. The free flow of the lymphatic system relies on the muscle's contraction like when you walk or exercise, or you do abdominal breathing or simply taking or doing a self-massage.

The Heart moves the blood around but the lymph flows in only one direction, which is toward your heart. There is a saying in Chinese medicine which says that “all emotions lead to the heart” as the lymphatic system is connected to every organ system along with the neurological system that has its branches running through its wide area like an interconnected system of the rivers. When the Lymphatic system functions smoothly we feel energetic and clear-minded. The lymphatic system is a sanitizing, recycling, and detoxifying system of the human body.

The Lymphatic system is an important part of the immune system and it produces white blood cells (WBC). It also acts as a GIGO (Garbage in/ Garbage out meter) or JIJO ( Junk in/ Junk out meter) meter. The Lymphatic system maintains the fluid balance. The Lymphatic fluid moves inward from the limbs to the heart. It is also known as “the great recycler or regulator”. In Acupuncture, there are psychic channels that act as a reserve for main channels and I think they are all linked to the lymphatic channels. One of the extraordinary vessels or channels is “the great regulator channel” also known as Yin and Yang wei mai and these channels act as the binding network of the vessels just as the lymphatic system is connected to every system. The interesting part is that the lymph not only flows in the upward direction in the body but also flows from the back of your body toward the front, toward the heart, and true is the saying that “all roads lead to the heart”.

If your lymphatic system or extraordinary vessels need to handle an overwhelming and increased load such as in autoimmune disorders, infections, or any other serious ailment, then it can deal with these conditions with a functional reserve. This reserve will react to the increased activity load and additional volume of lymph flow to get the fluid to the affected area where it is needed. Lymph stagnation can create negativity and fear in the subconscious mind and manifest as an emotional, physical, and mental disharmony that exacerbates a disease later on. According to Taoism, the Governing, Conception, and penetrating vessels are the three great psychic channels connecting the vital centers from the root chakra to the crown.

The Lymphatic system is the defensive network and fluid system of the body and it is a main route for cleansing and detoxification of blood, kidneys, and liver. In the same way as an interwoven web, the regulator channel system connects with all the organs. It acts to maintain and adjust its basic functions through its control of the nourishing and defensive energies of the body.

When the lymphatic system becomes stressed and toxic due to unresolved emotions, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, or other factors then it can become stagnant.
