LUNG.7 ACUPUNCTURE POINT

IMAGE-CHINESE MEDICINE PETERBOROUGH

LUNG.7 is also known as Lie Que in Chinese and Narrow Defile in English. It is a Luo-connecting point with LI.4. It is an opening point of the CV meridian.

Most used point in combination with KID.6 to treat grief, sadness, and feelings of oppression in the chest. Chest is the area where these feelings are kept and held and not expressed in a clear way. LUNG.7 can release all the stress of these feelings. The patient can even cry and shed tears when this point is given during the treatment. The corporeal soul "PO" resides in the lungs and all the somatic experiences of the physical body are held in it such as grief, sadness, and even traumatic experiences.

These feelings can create a feeling of tension in the shoulders, constricted breathing, and disturbance of the heart spirit. When lung.7 is combined with kid.6, it opens the upper warmer as well as the lower warmer. It regulates the Yin and Uterus and also moistens the body and the throat due to deficient yin. It is a very useful point in treating Chronic Asthma due to kidney and lung deficiency. It can also treat water retention in the body.

Lung.7 is used in the early stages of cold flu invasion. Acute Rhinitis and Sinusitis can be treated with LI.4 + LU.7 + LI.20. This combination can used to detoxify the mind and spirit. When the mind and the spirit are intoxicated then the person loses all hope in life and can become purposeless leading to Depression and narrow-mindedness.

Lung.7 can reset the rhythmic process of life when it has gone astray.

LUNG.7 can treat the following -

1. Common cold and influenza

2. Wind cold invasion of the occipital area and neck.

3. Disorders of arms, shoulder, neck, head, face, and nose.

4. Acute wind cold invasion or chronic sinusitis.
