When there is acute excessive heat in the body then Kidney.2 is used but it is not as powerful as the kidney.1 Acupuncture point.

Kidney 2 is used when there is a feeling of heat in the head or chest, thirst, dry throat, sleep problems, night sweating, and genital itching. Very good point for Sjogren’s symptoms, cystitis, restlessness, and fever.

This point can be used for dry cough with pain in the chest, feelings of heat in the head or chest, and hemoptysis. Dry cough with an aversion to dry, smoky weather or air pollution with dry skin and thirst.

A very good point for insomnia, is


too much perspiration on physical activity or with emotional stress. The patient is hyperactive, talkative, and easily embarrassed.

A useful point for impotence, lack of sexual desire, and frigidity. The patient is apathetic and tired.

  LUNG.5 also known as Chize in Chinese, and In English it is called Cubit Marsh. It is a water point of the lung channel and is used to cool heat, tonify yin and moisten dryness.   THE HEALING TOUCH In Acupressure treatment, there are several ways to stimulate an Acupuncture/Acupressure point, but the most simple and effective technique is the thumb rule of using the thumb and index/middle fingers.
